The ultimate adventure destination

The Kimberley is an outback adventurers dream. In the northernmost part of Western Australia, the sheer size of the region means that the landscape is spectacularly diverse.

From hidden gorges and thundering waterfalls to canyons and blue coastlines, the Kimberley is a geographical masterpiece.

And don’t forget four-wheel driving. The isolation of the Kimberley means that the region is perfect for off the beaten track adventures. Explore some of Australia’s greatest off road tracks to see the real heart of the region.

Top things to do in the Kimberley

Spend a day on Lake Argyle - hire a kayak and explore at your own pace

Visit Purnululu National Park and see the Bungle Bungles

Explore picturesque Cable Beach in Broome and finish off the day with a cold beer at Matso’s Brewery

Trek the gorge trails at El Questro and be rewarded with a well-deserved swim at the end

Drop into Hoochery Distillery in Kununurra and try some award-winning rum

  • Local tip!

Make sure you’re comfortable with four-wheel driving before embarking on your Kimberley travels.

Some of the tracks throughout the region can be tough and technical at times, so a four-wheel drive refresher course before you get on the road won’t go astray!

  • What not to miss?

If you’re at Lake Argyle, make sure you check out the Instagram-worthy infinity pool at the Lake Argyle Caravan Park. The pool has stunning views over the lake - we recommend a sunset swim.
