Day 1: Friday

Make your way to the Darwin International Airport and catch your Airnorth flight from Darwin arriving in Kununurra by lunchtime, where upon arrival you will collect your hire car from Thrifty.

Head into town and explore attractions such as the Visitor Centre, Kununurra Museum, Waringarri Arts, or other Aboriginal galleries. Drop by Coles for supplies before heading to Kimberley Grand Resort for check-in. After unpacking and settling in, indulge in an afternoon by the refreshing pool.

Finish your day with a delightful dinner at the Pumphouse, one of Kununurra's renowned restaurants.

Day 2: Saturday

Begin your day early with a hearty breakfast and a packed lunch before embarking on an adventure to The Grotto, a captivating gorge with a refreshing swimming hole nestled at the bottom of 140 steps. Continue your journey towards Wyndham, making stops at scenic points along the way to appreciate the rugged landscapes and rich history of the region.

In the afternoon, treat yourself to a memorable experience by booking a helicopter tour with HeliSpirit, offering various options to explore the breathtaking landscapes from above.

As evening descends, savor a laid-back dinner at The Grand, where you can indulge in a delicious pizza and beer.

Day 3: Sunday

Rise early to beat the heat and head out on a short drive to Mirima National Park, just minutes away from your apartment. Delve into the park's diverse landscape with hiking options ranging from 400 meters to 3.5 kilometres, offering a perfect morning of exploration.

Following your adventure in Mirima National Park, either enjoy lunch in town or pack a picnic for the next leg of your journey to Lake Argyle. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery by booking the Lake Argyle Sunset Magic Cruise, scheduled to commence at 2:30pm. If time permits before the cruise, take in the panoramic views from various points around the lake, consider renting a canoe for a leisurely paddle, or unwind with a refreshing drink at the resort.

The combination of Mirima National Park's rugged beauty and the tranquil expanse of Lake Argyle promises a day filled with exploration and relaxation. 

Day 4: Monday

Before catching your morning flight, relish one last taste of Kununurra's charm with lunch at a local café or one last picnic while enjoying the sites.
